Here are a few pics from my
winter garden. I read some
where that turnips have a
unique ability to survive
frost by the way moisture
is moved inside the plant.
But of course, I can't find
the article.
Turnips greens are easy to
pick, you just pluck a stem
or two off each plant, the
plant recovers fine. I like
to crockpot mine in with
a main dish. I have yet to
harvest the turnips.
I'm so glad that I went to
the trouble of experimenting
with a late fall garden.
The next step will be trying
to harvest some of the seed.
